This was to manage his symptoms, to access the Occupational Therapy team and to talk to one of our counsellors. The CNS arranged for the Patient Welfare Advisor to help Harry to apply for the benefits that he was now entitled to. "The Hospice means everything to me. They are training me to use my Lite Writer and to come to terms with the fact that I will at some point lose my voice entirely. When you walk into the Hospice, the atmosphere is exhilarating and stimulating. I can’t tell you what it does for my heart. That’s why I’ve chosen to leave a legacy to the Hospice."
If the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice has helped you or someone you know, please email Elle.Georgiou@pth.org.uk to tell us your story. Your message of support helps others to see what an important role the Hospice plays in the lives of so many local people.
